Below is a short clip of what to expect.

How Norman Dugdale saw the Tour. (Thanks for your contribution Norman)

Everybody did their bit very well but Sunny Bowry's batting was outstanding in all the matches and he deservedly got the 'player of the tournament' award which was a 2 liter bottle of a pretty good wine, and it was a fair sign of Sunny's generosity that by the time he and Asif arrived back at Mike's HQ that he did not get upset that the bottle was more that half empty!!!

Matt also got a very good 35 odd in one of the games. Everybody bowled their one over well (except Steve who had to bowl one over (actually 14balls) because I had to keep wicket because Will's finger was dodgy). I got 5 stumpings in the 7 A-side. Will and Asif batted very solidly throughout.

With all us seniors in the side, Steve had to cover an enormous amount of the field which he did with gusto, a very important element of our success. Dominic had bowled very straight and got most of the better batsmen out in his one opening over. Mat proved unplayable on the second wicket's plastic surface and he got a couple of important wickets!

In the Sunday 'big match' we were looking at defeat after only managing to scrape together 125 or so in getting bowled out inside 26 overs, thanks mainly to out local guest player, the event's co-organiser an old boy like myself who made 30 odd at number 10 (we only had ten!).

They got to about 90 for one when the game changed with Asif's well flighted leggies and my 'full and straight' flat crap. I got three but Asif starred with 6 for 5 off about six overs! Yes!!!!! Outstanding stuff!!!

Everyone tried our best in the field and Doc even continued with his improvement and covered some ground to become a 'threat'.

It was a brilliantly snatched victory and the home team's couple of 'overseas pro's' had to be treated for shock.

It must also be noted that Mike contributed very well with a couple of well taken stumpings off Asif having batted better than most.

Here I would like once again to give my personal very big thank you to Mike for making this wonderfully memorable  cricket experience possible.

It was a cricket success and a social success, so much so that Stage CC should try to put 2 teams into next year's 7 A-side.
